Girls in Mfg and STEM 2035 Clubs
CA-DIDI received a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to start a new program: Girls in Manufacturing. Collaborating with area schools and manufacturers, DIDI’s Girls in Manufacturing program is encouraging girls to expand their skills in science, technology, math, and the arts by introducing them to professional women in our area. Through tours, clubs, presentations, activities, camps and more, Girls in Manufacturing hopes to inspire girls ages 10 - 14 to consider a possible career in advanced manufacturing. The STEM 2035 grant through the Ralph Wilson Foundation allowed us to expand our clubs into high school and continue our Girls in Mfg Clubs.
